University of Southeastern Philippines partners with PhilSmile to facilitate tuition payments from abroad for OFW-supported students
April 16 2015 – Overseas Filipino (OFW) Parents have left 9m children behind, or 27% of all children under 18 in the Philippines, according to the UNICEF. Overseas Filipino (OFW) Parents would love to see their children grow and children left behind are often distressed by not knowing whether their tuition payment is coming.
University of Southeastern Philippines and PhilSmile partner today to facilitate tuition payments from abroad for OFW-supported students.
Overseas Filipino (OFW) Parents can now pay the tuition fees from anywhere in the world from only $1 per transfer, 80% cheaper than cash remittance through:
- online payment with PayPal, debit or credit card
- cash payment at participating merchants (retailers, remittance companies, kiosks)
- salary deduction with participating manning companies
Though PhilSmile, parents will also have access to the grades of their children. Parents’ involvement is key to students’ academic performance. New tools can help them overcome the distance that challenge their relationships.
PhilSmile will also develop with University of the Southeastern Philippines dedicated programs to help support OFW students and increase their completion rates. Check it out: https://philsmile.com/
